‘Love After Lockup’ Unveils New Spinoff With A Twist
Love After Lockup is back with a new spinoff and this one comes with a fun and exciting twist. The success of the WeTV reality series has spawned Life After Lockup and Love During Lockup. So, what else could they have up their sleeves? Keep reading for more details.
Love After Lockup Unveils New Spinoff With A Twist
When Love After Lockup premiered, it became an instant hit. Viewers were enamored by the cast and their stories of finding love with inmates. The tales varied from finding prisoners online and becoming pen pals to knowing them from school to being connected via friends or relatives. Ultimately, something clicked so a relationship was pursued. Was it healthy? That was unclear and these romances could be hidden from family and friends to avoid judgment. Some relationships have worked well while others ended horrifically. Since the show only featured a small fraction of the transitional period and it did quite well, the next step was a spinoff.
That was how Life After Lockup came to be. Cast members from LAL were followed into the next chapter of their lives and how they were adjusting to the outside world. Were their relationships working and could they find jobs? Yet, one piece was missing and that was the courting period while the inmates were still locked up. A new spinoff, Love During Lockup showed that and it made it easy for the cast to seamlessly move through the shows. Now, a brand new spinoff has been announced and it comes with a twist.

Show alum, Lindsey Downs announced it on her Instagram. She was on Love After Lockup and it was a toxic relationship but she later returned with another alum, Daonte Sierra. They had found love but he was too much for her so she began dating her close friend, Blaine Bailey. That also fell apart because she was the caretaker but now, her life is completely on track and it will be showcased on Love After Lockup: Crime Story. Per the caption:

Are Viewers Ready?
Lindsey Downs has really gotten her life together. She is finishing up college, works overnights, and raises her daughter, Miley. Lindsey also has a successful TikTok channel so Love After Lockup: Crime Story is just another avenue for her to get her story out there and help others.
