The Family Keeps Kody And Robyn Brown At Arms’ Length

In many ways, Sister Wives star Robyn Brown seems to want to be seen as innocent. Instead of admitting some of the family issues are related to her, she deflects and finds ways to show she is hurt. During the latest episode of Sister Wives, Kody talks about how the family will accept him but not his wife, Robyn. When Janelle was planning the graduation party for Savanah Brown, she had no intention of inviting Kody or Robyn.

From Kody Brown’s point of view, he believes the family is “colluding” against him and Robyn. He talks about how he could go to family events without her. However, since everyone is “hating” on Robyn he chooses not to. However, Janelle Brown disagrees. She thinks it is a delusion in his head. She clearly states that since ninety percent of the kids aren’t in a good relationship with him, they don’t want him to attend.

  • Another viewer notes, “Why would she want any different? She gets to be the innocent, shy, pretty wife, and there’s still some drama around to keep them both distracted from turning on each other. It’s easier than all she had to do to keep Meri around. She doesn’t even need to get out of bed for this. For every time they all get together or go anywhere, and he hears about it, she gets to be all ‘It’s cuz of me😩🤧’ and they’re off to retail therapy.”
  • “I love how TLC is trolling Kody by letting him say that, then show Janelle saying he’s not welcome, no matter what🤣💀.”
  • The tides are turning for Kody, “Has anyone noticed how often this season when Kody says something we know is absolutely a lie the production team follows up with the proof of that lie? I wonder if it’s because Kody’s Puddle Monkey buddy no longer works for the company. They’re plainly showing all the subtle K & R side eyes, smirks, and mean looks we had to watch multiple times to catch in prior seasons.”

Robyn Brown Wants To Be The Victim

However, many people believe Robyn Brown started the narrative but uses Kody to puppet her story.

  • “Who do you think came up with the narrative that everyone is jealous of her? Robyn’s defunct joolry site blog is a great peek inside the head of Robyn: everyone is/has always been jealous of her.”
  • “Exactly. She likes playing the victim. This narrative works for both of them Kody avoids responsibility and Robyn gets to say ‘poor me.’”

More Fans Add Their Thoughts

Other Sister Wives fans discuss how Robyn Brown loves that Kody Brown believes she is a victim.

  • “This is a perfect narrative for the Kody and Robyn dynamic – Kody is the hero in his own eyes because he won’t abandon Robyn and he is protective. Robyn is the victim because everyone is so meeeeann to her. None of it is true. Janelle clearly states no one wants Kody. His narcissism won’t accept this reality.”
  • “Robyn is the Brown family scapegoat doncha know.”
  • “Yeah, but she’s allowing herself to be the victim, creating this heroic deed that he’s lost contact with his own children to protect her. His ego responds better to the fact that he’s not the problem, he’s not doing anything wrong, he’s merely protecting his poor wife. It’s diabolically brilliant.”
  • The original poster responds, “It’s funny because my first thought (as a normal thinking human I suppose) was, ‘There’s no way she is ok with being thrown under the bus like that.’ But….I forgot about her victim complex. Because if it were me, I would QUICKLY tell that idiot that is in fact HIM that no one wants to be around.”
