'Duck Dynasty' Reboot Confirmed To Be In The Works

Duck Dynasty still has a devoted fanbase even after the series ended in 2017. The fans’ patience has been rewarded, as a reboot has been confirmed to be in the works. At this time, fans have been curious about just who will be appearing for the reboot.

The Fanbase Has Still Been Growing Strong Since The Series’ Original End

The original Duck Dynasty series premiered on A&E back in 2012. The series revolves around the Robertson family and their business, Duck Commander, which makes products for duck hunters.

The series originally ended in 2017, but fans have since talked about a possible revival since. They’ve also been devoted to keeping up-to-date with what is going on in the family since the series’ end.

In a recent video, Willie Robertson confirmed a reboot was in the works. Speaking with Tucker Carlson, he referred to it as “the next generation of Duck Dynasty,” with the kids being all grown-up.

Willie shared that he and his family prayed on whether or not to go forward with a revival when A&E asked about the possibility. He noted the impact the series has had on fans.

As Willie shared, fans often come up with him and tell him things like “It was what my dad and I watched together. Yeah, my mom passed away…it was the only thing that we could laugh at together.” Infamously, some fans took this out of context and assumed Willie’s own mother Kay had passed away.

There’s Some Speculation On Who Will Be Returning & Who Won’t

That said, Willie didn’t give too many details about the reboot. In particular, it was unclear which family members would be returning for the reboot and which weren’t.

Notably, Willie and Korie’s family has certainly grown and changed since 2017. In fact, grandchildren have been born into the family, meaning there’s more family members for the reboot.

Monsters & Critics mused that Willie, his wife Korie, and their children will liekly be the faces of the reboot. However, there was still “potential” for other family members to appear.

The publication mused that Miss Kay would likely appear in the reboot, noting that she was a big draw for viewers. Sadie Robertson was also noted as a fan favorite, suggesting she and her husband would take part.

At this time, the reboot has only just been confirmed, so it’s also unclear just when the reboot would go into production. That said, at this time, some fans are hoping it could come out as early as 2026, if not 2025.

The series’ official Instagram page also hasn’t updated since the news of the reboot came out, with the final post discussing the then-upcoming finale. It like likely to get more updates, or possibly a new page, with more coming from the franchise.
