Michael Strahan Saves Jimmy Johnson During Set ‘Mishap’
Michael Strahan is a popular Good Morning America host, but he seems to have the most fun during his job on NFL on Fox. He seems to love goofing around with his fellow NFL Hall of Fame co-hosts. That happened again during a show on Thanksgiving when he “saved” Jimmy Johnson from a mishap.
Here is what happened on NFL on Fox between Strahan and Johnson.
Michael Strahan ‘Saves’ Jimmy Johnson From Mishap
Michael Strahan was working the NFL on Fox telecast with his fellow co-hosts on Thanksgiving. He was joined on the set by Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, and Curt Menefee. A giant green screen also backed them. People on TV saw a farm location, which included a hay truck pulling up beside them.
While the set to them looked like a green screen and nothing was there, it was clear that Strahan was watching the monitors and could see what was being superimposed on the screen. That included the hay truck having a slight mishap and dropping hay bales onto the ground.
Jimmy was at the end, and Michael leaped over to pull Johnson to “safety.” Of course, there were not really hay bales falling, but it was still a funny moment. Curt and Terry started laughing as Jimmy acted like he was in danger. Howie even tried to help Michael out in the big save. “Saving lives out here,” Curt said to Strahan (via The U.S. Sun).
It was another perfect moment that showed the great chemistry these NFL veterans have on one of the league’s best studio shows.
Michael Strahan Mocks Jimmy Johnson’s ‘False Hope’
Michael Strahan and Jimmy Johnson were not finished with each other yet. Johnson, the Hall of Fame former coach of the Dallas Cowboys, was talking about his old team and their hope for this season. Strahan played his entire career for the Cowboys’ rival, the New York Giants.
The Cowboys beat the Giants on Thanksgiving Day in what was mostly a blowout. Jimmy then began to get hyped up about his Cowboys, which had Strahan cracking up. When asked if Cooper Rush would become the Cowboys’ starting quarterback even when Dak Prescott gets healthy, Jimmy said no, but then added, “I’m just saying they’re going to get on a run.”
“They’re going to win today, they’re going to win next week, they’re going to win the week after that,” Johnson said. “They’re going to get on a run, and they’re going to have a little bit of false hope.”
When Johnson said “false hope,” Strahan began loudly laughing. Johnson was right about the Cowboys beating the Giants.
