‘Young & Restless’ Courtney Hope Teases Death Defying New Gig
Fans of The Young and the Restless know Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra on the soap. However, the actress recently shared a new talent with fans on social media. Fans have also shared their thoughts with the actress.
Fans Have Seen Courtney Hope As Sally Spectra On Different Soaps
Hope first played the character of Sally Spectra, the grandniece of the character of the same name, on The Bold and the Beautiful. Hope first appeared as the character in 2017.
Initially leaving the show in 2018, Hope would eventually return and stay on the show until 2020. However, this would not be the last viewers would see of the character. That same year, Hope would reprise her role while joining the cast of The Young and the Restless.
In addition to her work in the soap opera world, Hope has had a few other jobs. Notably, she has lent her voice and likeness, thanks to the use of motion capture, to various video games.
However, Hope recently shared another potential new gig on Instagram with fans. In a series of videos, the actress could be seen performing tricks during a trapeze class.
Hope’s New Talents Could Come In Handy In Her Line Of Work
As Hope wrote in the caption, “I heard Cirque Du Soleil was hiring.” As she explained, she completed her first trapeze class because “I told [myself] by the end of the year I would do something BIG that I was scared of.”
Hope noted that the class was meant to help tackle her own fear of heights. As she put it, “Growing up with crippling anxiety, I tainted many experiences in my childhood and teen years out of sheer panic, worry and doubt.” As she continued, “I pushed past the confines of fear, which is rooted in ego, and pursued a trust within myself that could over ride my sometimes immobilizing panic.”

The actress wanted to encourage her fans to have courage in their lives. As she added, “Here’s my invitation to do something you’re scared of, something that you truly want but are all wrapped up in the ‘what ifs’ that you’ve yet to make a move.”
“A deep peace is born when you live through the fullness of feeling instead of running from it. Be it an experience, a conversation, or a new habit, let’s support [each other] in living life to the fullest and growing together in trust, courage and experience.”
Fans commented on how impressed they were watching Hope perform and face her fears. As one fan noted, “Many of the words I needed to hear today – thank you. You’re an inspiration.”
While Hope’s comment on Cirque Du Soleil might have just been a joke, her new talents could be useful in her career. After all, as Soap Hub noted, she could always perform her own stunts on the soap.
