‘Sister Wives’ Surprising Real Reason Robyn Brown Wears Purple
What is the surprising reason that Sister Wives star, Robyn Brown always wears purple? It appears to be her color of choice when she is not wearing a loose-fitted floral frock. So, is there a hidden meaning behind her purple wardrobe? Keep reading for further details.
Surprising Real Reason Robyn Brown Wears Purple
Over the seasons, the Sister Wives ladies have evolved in their fashion. They were initially very conservative and would tend to wear long-sleeved shirts with tank tops or T-shirts over them. It was an interesting choice of dress yet it made sense given that they had to be more modest. Then, as the seasons went on, they started to expand their wardrobes. They began wearing flowy tops or denim coats, more business casual. In the first several seasons, the cast filmed their confessionals as a family but since everything has fallen apart, they do things individually.
Christine Brown Woolley is feeling her more rebellious side so that reflects in her confessional style. Meri Brown tends to wear things from her MLM collection while Janelle Brown is starting to wear lighter clothing. As for Robyn Brown, she has taken to the color purple, it is her signature. Yet, is there a deeper meaning as to why she has gravitated to purple? A Reddit thread was started to address it and it seems that it played a part in the first two seasons, not Robyn exclusive:
- It’s obvious that Robyn loves the color purple now. But if you go back to season 1 and 2 purple is in it A LOT. Many times the OG wives and Kody are wearing purple. I’m super curious if purple was really a Kody love and then Robyn decided to take it on and wear it all the time.
That may be very true but another Redditor chimed in with this:
- Proverbs 31;22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. It’s part of the virtuous wife scripture.

The Only ‘Obedient’ Wife
Kody Brown has made it abundantly clear that Robyn Brown was the only loyal and “obedient” wife that he had. She listened to him during the pandemic and followed his word as gospel. So, her wearing purple could be a silent sign that she is a “virtuous wife.” After seeing this, what was the fan reaction?
- Maybe it was part of the practice of their religion. In different parts of the Bible the color purple alludes to honor, dignity, and spiritual service.
- I remember Kody saying Robin loved her purple.
- In religions, purple is a significant symbol.
In the end, she may very well love the color plus it works with her religious beliefs so now, it all makes sense.
Why do you think she really wears purple? Is it to show loyalty or because she just has a fixation with how it looks on her? Let us know and watch Sister Wives Sundays on TLC.
