Keith Urban Delivers ‘Masterclass’ At Blake Shelton’s Bar
Keith Urban surprised fans in Nashville when he made a surprise appearance at Blake Shelton’s bar. Keith showed up at Ole Red and was a surprise performer that night, proving that fans should always be prepared for something great at Blake’s bar, even when he doesn’t announce it in advance.
Not only that, but Keith reportedly delivered a “masterclass in shredding” during his performance. Here is what you need to know.
Keith Urban ‘Shreds’ In Surprise Appearance At Blake Shelton’s Bar
Blake Shelton’s bar, Ole Red, advertised a surprise appearance recently. According to a video that was shared on TikTok on November 4, that surprise performer was none other than Keith Urban. The video showed Urban doing what he does best – slaying on a guitar.
In the video, Keith takes the stage at Ole Red for an impromptu performance and blows everyone away (via NBC). The footage shows Urban really getting into it as he begins “shredding” a guitar solo, and it looks like he is enjoying himself the entire time.
The caption on the TikTok video read: “When you stay for the ‘surprise performance’ slot at Ole Red and it ends up being KEITH URBAN????”
This is not unusual for Blake Shelton. Since he owns the bar, he is able to pull some strings and get some big names to come and perform there. Getting someone like Gwen Stefani to join him on stage is exciting enough. However, getting Urban to perform an unannounced jam session is something most patrons will never forget.
Keith Urban Still Loves Performing In Concert
Keith Urban has been stretching his creativity lately. He has been appearing more on television, especially when he works as a coach on The Voice. However, he said that none of that compares to his love of his music career.
Urban’s new album, High, came out in September, and he stopped by Today to talk about his music and career. The singer/songwriter said that he loves performing on stage more than anything, no matter how old he is now (Urban is 57).

“I love playing music just as much as I did when I was sitting in my bedroom at six years old learning to play guitar,” Urban said. “I don’t feel any different. I’m just as excited to write the next song, put on the next tour, make another album — like, literally giddy with excitement to do that. That’s never changed.”
He said that even if that never worked out and made him a success, it was still what he wanted to do. “I’ve just been really blessed and lucky, and the harder I’ve worked, the luckier I’ve become.”
