Sister Wives Fans Are Done With The Browns’ Deceit
Over time, it’s become glaringly obvious to Sister Wives fans that the Browns don’t always tell the truth — especially when it comes to money.
“Season 15, Episode 1. The Money Shot,” a Reddit user wrote on the platform. “The five parents meet at Janelle’s request because she feels they are drifting apart. Kody openly states that he thinks polygamy has been a mistake. Every wife makes an excuse for his remark saying he is discouraged, tired, depressed or stretched thin.”
The OP goes on to describe how the adults thought Las Vegas changed the family dynamic and made them grow apart.
“Kody asks them all if they are in this marriage bc of religious conviction or love. No one answers him. Kody says he has all the love he needs but he’s not sure what the others want/need. Again, silence. It’s pretty clear to me that everything changed because of the increased financial independence for each person because of the show,” the OP continued. They concluded their lengthy post by suggesting that the IRS will be coming for the Brown family when the show ends.
Reddit Users Sound Off Over The Irresponsible Money Management
Other Redditors on this post agreed, but this seems to be a common sentiment among Sister Wives viewers. Comments on other threads indicate several viewers feel angry about how dishonest the Browns have been about their finances.
Reddit users commented:
- “Don’t forget the stark realization that they have all been living a lie for years and years just to collect a TLC paycheck.”
- “They’re all awful.. just nothing but lies to keep getting that paycheck… I’m sure they all took on their role and owned it in the show to keep TLC money rolling in. All of them such a farce. I’m just so over them all.”
- “The financial security afforded by the show sure was a good incentive. Most parents would jump at the chance to improve their children’s lives with increased income and opportunities. But now that most of the kids are grown, they sure could put aside their differences and put in some effort to get together at family reunions to fortify the family bond.”
