Conor McGregor Breaks Silence After ‘Deplorable’ Rape Verdict
MMA fighter, Conor McGregor was just found liable in a rape and sexual assault case. The verdict was handed down on Friday, November 22nd in an Ireland courtroom. Now, McGregor is speaking out and he is not happy over what has transpired. Keep reading for what he had to say.
Conor McGregor Breaks Silence Over Rape Verdict
In December 2018, Conor McGregor allegedly raped and assaulted Nikita Hand while she was inebriated. She had supposedly invited the MMA fighter to a holiday party in Dublin alongside a friend of hers. Then, in 2021, Nikita brought forward a civil suit against McGregor and now, he has been found liable. This verdict comes six years after the incident occurred and three years after the suit was initiated. After the verdict was handed down on Friday, McGregor must pay Nikita Hand $257K USD. She alleges she had bruises after the incident and now suffers from PTSD from the traumatic episode.
Conor McGregor left the courthouse and declined to say anything about what happened. He wanted to bolt as fast as he could. Now that he has had time to process, McGregor is finally speaking up and out. However, he is not happy with what was handed down. He shared his thoughts on Twitter/X and maintained that Nikita shared a false narrative. There was also talk of his friend, James Lawrence assaulting her but that has changed, as well. McGregor also believes Nikita was not fully believed given the amount she was awarded.
Two men falsely accused. One vindicated, the other soon to be! Congrats James Lawrence on absolute exoneration! Twice this heinous accusation was put to you and twice it was shown as FALSE! LIES! It is absolutely disgraceful what they put you through here. Disgraceful! I look…

So far, that tweet has gotten one million views. He then added in another tweet where Nikita was praised for her “bravery” in going up against McGregor. Yet, he maintains that she did not win but rather lost her case:
Falsely accused a man of rape and lost. https://t.co/ucAsCGRUpl

Fans have been nothing but supportive of the thirty-six-year-old during this time as they feel he is in the right.
They Have His Back
Many MMA fans have expressed their support for Conor McGregor after the verdict was handed down. They shared words of wisdom and how he can move forward with success:
- Good luck Conor. I hope you win in the end. Keep your nose clean. Focus on your family.
- Everyone knows this is politicized lawfare against Conor.
Then some felt McGregor never should have been in a murky situation, to begin with. He has had a partner since 2008 and they believed he needed to remain faithful to her and his four children:
- Stop cheating on your girl
- Even if you didn’t assault her you shouldn’t have been in that situation to begin with. Need your discipline back, champ.
- Conor you are such a big dissapointmet to your marriage…nothing yo say is gonna change it
This is a very tough situation and sad in many ways. In the end, Conor McGregor has to pay regardless of how he feels and what he says.
