Parker Schnabel Reveals What He ‘Splurges’ On
Discovery viewers have been watching Parker Schnabel since he was a teenager. Now, he is 30 and one of the most successful gold miners in the Klondike. Therefore, Gold Rush fans may be be curious to know how much bling he may purchase with his vast wealth.
According to a new interview with People Magazine, those fans who think that the gold miner is buying up a lot of fancy objects will be surprised to learn that he “enjoys living a simple life.” The celebrity publication inquired on what he would “splurge” on. He had to think about this and realized that he is not into a lot of stuff.
I really haven’t [splurged]. I don’t even own a house except for the one on the mine site, so it’s quite the opposite. I’m living on a friend’s couch right now in LA. I’m not living here, but staying here for a few weeks. I don’t really spend money on physical possessions or things like that.
Instead of spending money on things, he enjoys indulging in experiences. Most of all, he enjoys sharing these adventures with his loved ones.
“I’ve had some great experiences. On Friday, I took my dad to a World Series game. So that kind of thing is – that’s a splurge to me. If I’m gong to spend money, it’s on a trip with friends. I try to take our crew, the mining crew, on a trip every year and do fun things.”
He shared that he took the Schnabel crew on different types of adventures. He shared that they went on a “big hunting trip” one year. Another year, they went to Vegas for three days. “I’m a big fan of really solid shared experiences and that’s probably where I spend the most money.”
However, he is not allowed to spend crazily. He revealed, “Of course, at work, I’m a very big spender. They take the credit card away from me quite often.
Family Is Important To Discovery Gold Mining Millionaire
In the end, Parker Schnabel cares about his family. The Gold Rush star talked about his beloved grandfather John Schnabel, who went to Alaska to pursue his dreams. His grandma eventually joined him. Then, his father was born there, and “all three of them were carving a life from scratch.” He watched his dad work, and that is what matters to him now – working hard and treating his loved ones.
