NFL Legend Jason Kelce Breaks World Record
Former professional football player Jason Kelce recently made some big news just ahead of Monday Night Football. Throughout his career, Kelce has already made a career out of his accomplishments. However, he can now add breaking a world record to his list of achievements.
Jason Kelce Teamed Up With A Famous YouTube Channel
Kelce is known for his time as a Philadelphia Eagles center. He is known for his prominent career, such as his role in leading the Eagles to victory against the New England Patriots during Super Bowl LII. Kelce announced his retirement back in March of this year.
Kelce and his brother Travis are also known for co-hosting the podcast New Heights. In addition, he also serves as part of ESPN Monday Night Countdown‘s pregame panelists.
In addition to this, Kelce also just broke a surprising world record. Notably, this occurred on Monday right before the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys faced off at AT&T Stadium.
Kelce teamed even up with YouTube’s “Dude Perfect” for the big event. Together, they sought to break the world record for the “longest thrown and caught hot dog into a bun.”
The Hot Dog Was Launched 167 Feet
The crew sought to break the record as part of a “Tailgate Gauntlet” pregame right outside the stadium. The feat was a good fit for Dude Perfect, as they are known for their viral trick shots.
After launching a hot dog 167 feet, Kelce managed to successfully catch the dog with a bun in hand. A video of the pregame events was also notably shared on ESPN’s YouTube channel.
As one comment noted, “It’s crazy how Dude Perfect started off as [college] friends struggling to make a living [to] multimillionaires with wives and kids. The comment also noted the group has “done stuff with Steph Curry and Jason Kelce in the same week.
For their part, Dude Perfect also shared photos and videos of the event on Instagram. As they noted, “Just broke some world records with the legend @jason.kelce! Check it out on the MNF Countdown tonight. Let’s go Cowboys!”
