‘Bachelorette’ Trista Sutter First Said ‘Hell No’ To ‘Special Forces’
Fans have been speculating for months that Bachelorette Trista Sutter will appear in Season 3 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Her absence and also husband’s cryptic social media posts had fans assuming all sorts of things were happening. Now, it’s finally been revealed that she is starring in the reality series. It’s not something she ever really saw herself doing and at first said no to the offer. What happened to change her mind? Keep reading to get all the details.
Why Did Bachelorette Trista Sutter Say ‘Hell No’ To Special Forces
Bachelorette Trista Sutter revealed during the Almost Famous podcast that she nearly wasn’t on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 3.
She also shared that it was Ashley Iaconetti who predicted that Trista would be asked to join Season 3. Sutter said, “I was like, ‘You’re crazy. There’s no way, first of all, they’re gonna want me, and second of all, that I would do that. That is a crazy town show.’”
The prediction was true and a few months later Trista was approached about appearing on the show. She still thought it was crazy and her initial response was ‘hell no’ there was no way she could do it.
However, her husband Ryan Sutter eventually convinced her otherwise. She believes it’s Ryan who would be perfect for the show, not her. He continued to push and encourage her. Ryan told her it would be an amazing experience and a great opportunity. He finally convinced her.
She Wanted To Do It In Honor Of Ryan
Once Trista Sutter got on board with the idea and decided to accept the opportunity to be on Special Forces, she wanted to do it in honor of Ryan. She still believes he would be perfect for this. Trista plans on contacting Fox and throwing Ryan’s name into the hat for Season 4.
Aside from honoring her husband, Trista also decided it would be a good opportunity to get back to who she is as an individual. She’s been a wife and mother for so long that she forgot who the real Trista is. Sutter went on to say it’s not like she’s not real with them but she wanted to rediscover who she is without all of that. She said, “Get back to who I am at my core, who Trista is, not just Trista as the mom, Trista as the wife, Trista as the friend, whatever. Just who Trista is.”
There were a lot of rumors while Trista was away filming the show. Ryan posted on social media about missing her and fans went nuts thinking she was getting divorced. Some even thought she died.
What do you think about Trista being on the show? Do you think she can finish the test?
Season 3 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test premieres on Fox on Wednesday, January 8, at 8 p.m. ET.
