Jenna Bush Hager Reveals Her ‘Today’ Future Plans
Hoda Kotb is leaving Today in January. There were rumors that Jenna Bush Hager was going to leave, but Hoda’s announcement put a stop to that. The show has since revealed that Craig Melvin will replace Hoda as the main co-host, and he will work three hours of the show. However, Jenna has different plans.
Here is what Jenna will do once Hoda leaves Today in January.
Jenna Hager Bush Changing Format Of Her Hour On Today
Hoda Kotb’s last day on Today will be Friday, January 10, 2025. The next week, Craig Melvin will replace her with his start on January 13, 2025. Craig was already working as the co-host of the third hour with Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones, and Dylan Dreyer. Now, he will work all three hours.
However, he will not be a main part of the show currently titled Today with Hoda & Jenna. That show, which has seen the two women side-by-side, will remain vacant. Airing during the fourth hour of the show, it will change its title to something a little more fluid.
The fourth hour of Today will now be titled Jenna & Friends. This means that Craig Melvin will work Hoda Kotb’s positions she had on the first three hours, but the fourth will move to a rotating cast of co-hosts for Jenna. They will eventually hire a permanent successor, but until they do, it will be a rotating cast of co-hosts.
It seems that Today wants to make sure the new permanent co-host will be someone who meshes well with Jenna. Hoda Kotb said the same thing: Her only desire is for the person who replaces her to get along great with Jenna.
Jenna Bush Hager Talks Fourth Hour Of Today
“Here’s the thing,” Jenna, 42, said about the change. “I’m a serial monogamist… I met Hoda…I fell so madly in love with you so quickly, and we’ve had these years together, which have been some of the best of my entire life… It’s time for me to get out there, guys” (via Parade).

In a funny comparison to dating, Jenna said that she will be “roster dating” on her show. She said she is now single in her work life, and it is time to mingle. She said the choices of co-hosts are all about “friendship,” and they have so many guests that they will “come along for the ride.”
It seems that Jenna will be having some fun as she searches for her next partner.
