Jackee Harry Thinks Tia Mowry’s Career Ended Her Marriage
Tia Mowry recently was able to catch up with her Sister, Sister mom Jackee Harry. They discussed how things have been going with Tia after her Divorce from Cory Hardrict. Tia was very emotional and open about her divorce. The couple decided to divorce after 14 years of marriage. Their Divorce was finalized in April 2023. Jackee Harry gave Tia some advice about moving on.
Once A Mother Always A Mother
Even though Jackee Harry only played Tia’s mom on Sister, Sister the pair have remained close and Tia values Jackee’s opinion. On a recent episode of Tia Mowry: My Next Act Tia spoke with Harry about her divorce from Cory and what life is like now. Tia started their conversation by discussing some advice Jackee once gave her. She says “You once told me ‘You can’t have everything all at once.'” Jackee responded to Tia…
“I had it all, the house, the kid, the money. Then it all went to shit. I had it all, but you can’t have it all, all the time. Somebody’s gotta stay home with the kids or nurture the ego of the man. Do I sound bitter?”
Tia said that when she had the original conversation with Jackee she already had doubts about her marriage. Jackee was unaware that Tia was struggling in her relationship with Hardrict. She also did not know that Mowry was contemplating getting a divorce.
Jackee Harry Advises Tia Mowry
Jackee and Tia were able to have a heartfelt conversation about the struggle of being a mother and a wife and also having a successful career in the entertainment industry. Tia was able to discuss some of the struggles she had experienced in their marriage. Harry explained that when one spouse is more successful than the other it can put strain on the marriage. She said…
“If one partner makes more money or is more successful…it’s a gap that’s so hard, and it can’t work out. It can’t have competition. It just does not work. You can’t stop your career because you want to even it out.”
Tia Mowry and Jackee Harry were able to be open and honest about what it means to be a successful woman in the entertainment business. Tia was able to get some advice from someone who has experienced what she is going through.
