Amy Slaton Halterman’s Court Case Reset, Will Reappear In December
By now, many 1000-Lb Sisters fans have heard about Amy’s arrest at a zoo. The TLC star alleged a camel bit her. But when authorities arrived on the scene, they found illegal substances in her car. They arrested her and a male companion, Brian Scott Lovvorne.
According to WBBJ in Jackson, Tennessee, Amy Slaton Halterman appeared in court on Thursday, November 7, “on charges of illegal possession of schedule one drugs, illegal possession of schedule six drugs, and two counts of child endangerment.”
As per the National Library of Medicine, schedule one drugs include “marijuana (cannabis), heroin, mescaline (peyote), lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), and methaqualone.” In other words, the TLC star could be looking at hefty legal consequences moving forward.

1000-Lb Sisters Fans Want The Reality Star To Get Help
On this season of 1000-Lb Sisters, Amy seems to be making remarkable progress with her health and wellness. She seems mentally much better, even while navigating life as a single mother. But something clearly happened between filming and the present day to make her slip backward.
On Reddit, viewers began discussing the arrest. Many expressed concern for her two young sons, Glenn and Gage. Comments included:
- “I think TLC should make this the last season. Amy is not well, she needs mental and medical support. The stress of filming, plus divorce, plus raising two kids, plus dating hasn’t done her any favors. I would miss my favorite guilty pleasure, but knowing she’s coming unspun behind the cameras & risking her kids isn’t worth it.”
- “These poor boys……cycle will continue”
- “She needs professional help for herself and learn how to be a parent. Learn to stand on her own, not seek her worth in men like her mother. Her mother wasn’t there for those children, you can see her repeating the generational horror. I hope receives the help she needs desperately.”
