Shemar Moore Explains Why More ‘S.W.A.T.’ Isn’t Likely
Shemar Moore fought hard to ensure fans got a final season of S.W.A.T. However, while he got this season going, fans want more. With that in mind, Moore said not to expect much more. This time, it is all about him.
Here is what Moore said about the chance for more S.W.A.T.
Why Is S.W.A.T. Likely FInished, According To Shemar Moore?
Shemar Moore still feels he is blessed to have gotten one more season of S.W.A.T. after the network canceled the series. However, he isn’t really looking at too much more when it comes to the popular series, as this is still meant to be its last season. However, instead of blaming the network, he looked more at himself.
“To get canceled twice in a row and to get uncanceled twice in a row, I give kudos to me running my mouth on social media,” Moore said (via PEOPLE). “Nothing lasts forever, but I fight.” He also said that he is the “team leader” and he is very proud of what they created with the rebooted show.
With that said, Shemar said not to expect too much more. He was asked how many more seasons he could do of S.W.A.T., and ignoring the cancelation, he looked at it as a more personal question.
“Everybody at S.W.A.T. wants season 13. And I’m like, “You’ve got to talk to my knees, boy. It ain’t no joke,” Moore said. He admitted that he is 54 now and it is getting “harder and harder running around, jumping over cars and playing tough guy and trying to keep that six-pack together.”
However, he said he is enjoying this new season and said: “Doors closing and then kicking down doors is a very scary, fun thing. And that’s how I live life.”
Shemar Moore Enjoying His Success
While the idea of saving S.W.A.T. for that 12th season was exciting, Shemar Moore also said he is taking nothing for granted.
“It’s skill, it’s hunger, it’s determination, it’s passion, it’s humility and a whole bunch of luck,” Shemar said. “It has to be a perfect storm, and I’m a product of exactly that.”
On top of S.W.A.T., Shemar just wants to keep having fun and succeeding in life. He even just celebrated winning the 2023 Superhole cornhole championship. Add in a small return to The Young and the Restless, where he got his first break, and hints at a Criminal Minds return, and it seems that he is still on top of the world.
