‘MAFS’ Major Red Flag A Dealbreaker For David And Michelle?
Married at First Sight fans are just getting to know new Chicago couple, David and Michelle. They are part of the new batch of cast members from Season 18. Right out of the gate, viewers noticed a major red flag that could already be a dealbreaker in their new marriage. So, what is it?
Married At First Sight: Season 18 Couples In Chicago Tie The Knot
As with every new season of Married at First Sight, the husbands and wives begin their journeys at the altar, as they say “I do” to a complete stranger. No matter how many years this show has been on, and no matter how many seasons there have been, this one act requires a major leap of faith.
The marriages on the show are very real, and that means they are legally binding. As some Married at First Sight fans have seen with cast members from past seasons, it can sometimes take years for a divorce to be final. So, it’s a big risk for anyone who goes through with it and trusts the process.
MAFS: Fans Spot Major Red Flag In David And Michelle Marriage
David and Michelle just got married in the new season, and already, viewers are picking apart what they see as major dealbreakers in this new relationship. One of the biggest ones is the fact that David is a smoker. He said this is something he was willing to quit for the sake of his new relationship, but Michelle did not try to hide her dislike of this habit, saying it was “gross.”
However, that is not even the only hurdle that these two face in the latest Married at First Sight scenes. There is also the fact that David still lives with his parents. This is something that completely overwhelmed Michelle, to the point that she even broke down in tears over it. So, there is a lot working against these two as the new season is barely underway.
Married At First Sight Fans React To Potential Dealbreaker
Married at First Sight fans have a lot to say about this potential dealbreaker for these two, and many were not shy about making their opinions known.
- One Married at First Sight fan said: “Smoking is a deal breaker! I grew up in a smoking family. I don’t smoke. I think it’s literally easier to give up crack than tobacco. The struggle to stop smoking is lifelong, real and usually unsuccessful.”
- Another commenter said: “I quit smoking like 8 years ago. Dated a guy who smoked about 4 years ago. It made my asthma so bad that it was a relief when we finally broke up. I would never date someone who smoked again. Even though he smoked outside and was very stringent with his hygiene after smoking, the smoke would still waft into the house. It sucked wheezing all the time.”
