‘LIB’ Stacy Snyder Admits Past Secret Relationship With Woman
Recently, Love Is Blind star, Stacy Snyder admitted that she had a past secret love affair that she kept quiet. While fans may remember life with Izzy Zapata didn’t go as planned, now Stacy is turning a new leaf.
Love May Not Be Blind, But It Is Messy
During the October 29 episode of Just B with Bethenny Frankel, Love Is Blind star, Stacy Snyder comes clean about having a previously hidden relationship with a woman. While most fans got to know her when she was connecting with Izzy Zapata, there were more layers than she admitted at the time. Although she and Izzy were engaged on the show, it didn’t pan out in the end. Both went on to live their lives. Izzy spent more time on reality TV with Perfect Match but didn’t find his match. However, he got the blond bombshell he had dreamed of but their status was challenged by cheating. Furthermore, Stacy moved on and publicly announced her new girlfriend in August. But she wasn’t Stacy’s first female romantic partner. Now, Stacy is opening up.
Stacy Snyder Admits Past Secret Relationship With Woman
While Stacy Snyder was talking with Bethenny Frankel, she admitted that most of her family didn’t know it, but she had dated a woman when she was younger. She said, “I had been with a woman before, probably in my early 20s, it was a two-year relationship.” Furthermore, she discusses how serious it was, “We lived together.” Stacy confesses, “The women in my family knew about it, [but] I never told my dad, he’s pretty conservative.” Notably, it was her first romantic relationship with a woman. Since it was new territory for Stacy at the time, she said she was afraid and didn’t exactly know what she was doing.
Fear Held Her Back
Stacy Snyder shares her hesitation, “All of it, like I was afraid of what people were gonna think or say, as far as my family, cause in our family, at least with me and my sisters, we’re looked at as a certain [way].” Furthermore, she elaborates, “They produce, they all got scholarships in school. I cheered in school. The guys that I’ve been with are successful, [and they] look a certain way. And I’m like, I don’t think that they’re going to be able to [understand].” Additionally, she debated about telling everyone but feared it would add pressure to the relationship.
Stacy Snyder Was Facing A Double Life
Although Love Is Blind star, Stacy Snyder tends to be blunt and honest, she felt like she was living a double life. She relived the time in her past, “I feel like I’m living a double life, but here’s what’s going to happen if I do.” When she was honest with herself, she knew, “So I literally was living a double life with parts of my family and my relationship.” Even so, her ex was still part of her life, but her family members thought she was just her friend.
But now, Stacy is proud to be in love with her new lady. She announced the relationship on Instagram where she captions, “Surprise!” and added text, “SHE’S HAPPY.” Stacy thinks dating a woman has a different timeline than when she has dated men. She says, “I feel like with women, it’s very different. It moves a lot faster. The emotions come in a lot sooner just because we’re more emotionally [in tune].” Additionally, she shares, “So it’s serious in a way like we’re in love, but I feel like it’s moved a lot quicker than it would in a heterosexual relationship.”
