Hallmark’s latest Countdown To Christmas movie is Confessions Of A Christmas Letter. What is this movie about? According to TV Insider, Settie Rose admits she is quirky. She is the matriarch of a very dysfunctional family that she loves. But, she cannot write about her family members in any sort of entertaining way. Every year, she loses the town’s Christmas letter writing competition. She just cannot make her family seem perfect on paper.
Therefore, this year she is doing something different. She meets Juan, who is a struggling novelist. She hires him to write a letter. Despite writer’s block he manages to get something down. However, this is no small feat. But, it is perfect.
However, Juan hanging out with Settie’s family has the town talking. There is a rumor that Juan is engaged to Settie’s daughter, Lily. Now, Settie instructs them to pivot. They are all playing a charade, trying to fool the town into believing that Lily and Juan are indeed engaged. Moreover, they fill in the blanks of this love story and how they feel about Juan joining the Rose family.
