  • Some fans helped the original poster know what was happening. Someone says, “She has alopecia.”
  • One fan shares, “I have sporadic alopecia. It is 100% triggered by stress. I have been in remission for many years now, learning what keeps me healthy. To lose additional body hair, like eyelashes, is not a good sign. She may be headed toward alopecia totalis, in which you lose ALL body hair and it does not grow back. I hope this new look is a wig, they do wonders!”
  • “A natural look is so pretty on her! Would not have even noticed the eyelashes until she pointed it out.”

Other Fans Give Their Thoughts About Her Hair

After the initial post, several Welcome To Plathville fans added their thoughts about Moriah Plath’s hair.

  • Someone adds, “Dark hair looks good on her! I do wonder how safe it is to dye your hair while dealing with alopecia though. I have a form of alopecia and I have to be very careful with my eyebrows. I feel for her. I hate looking in the mirror.”
  • Another fan points out, “This new season? I guess that’s confirmation. I’d much prefer a self love arc than whatever the devil in a suit and tie was.”
  • “I feel sad for her, it must be really challenging to deal with alopecia. Maybe she went dark so that she could save her hair from bleach, I’m not sure why some people are being so mean about it? She will eventually learn to do her makeup to suit this hair colour. I’m naturally as pale as her with natural black hair, it’s just something you have to figure out. Hopefully it helps her to not do further damage to her hair with bleach.”
