‘Naked And Afraid’ Cast Member Tragically Killed At 34
A survivalist that appeared on the Discovery Channel series, Naked and Afraid, has died in a car crash. The TV personality had recently appeared in another reality series following their earlier appearance. On social media, fans have been sending their condolences to the late survivalist.
The Survivalist’s Family & Friends Have Released Statements
Sarah Danser first appeared on the series Naked and Afraid. The series revolves around two survivalists who attempt to survive in the wilderness for 21 days.
In addition to this, Danser also appeared in Naked and Afraid XL. In this spin-off, the time the contestants must stay in the wilderness is extended for 40 days. The “XL” in the title actually refers to the Roman numeral for “40.” In 2023, she also appeared on the reality series, Fight to Survive, in which survivalists must compete with each other on a tropical island.
Initially from Colorado, Danser had been living in Hawaii for the past 12 years. She was known for deing a master diver and boat captain.
This past Sunday night, Danser was involved in a crash in which a a 59-year-old male driver collided with a parked car. Danser had been a passenger and was soon hospitalized in critical condition.
Danser reportedly died this past Tuesday, after being visited by her father and brother. She was 34 at the time of her passing.
According to TV 6, her father Dan Danser shared, “I actually saw how much of a difference she made in the lives of others…I think she saved my life once, diving in Indonesia.”
Fans Remembered Danser’s Time On Naked & Afraid
Fellow diver and friend, Tim Mason, shared that, “She was smart. She went under the water. She found food, slugs and snails and stuff like that…She knew what to do to survive and she did great.”
The driver of the car and a woman who was in the parked car are both believed to be in serious condition. Another person was in the parked car, but refsed medical treatment.

On Reddit, fans shared their condolences over Danser’s passing. As one commenter wrote, “This is so sad. She was so amazing. I loved her on all her challenges. You will be missed Sarah.”
Another shared, “This is just tragic. Sarah was a such great person. She never let anyone’s negativity change her outlook or path, and always rose above expectations others might have of her.” One commenter shared a more personal note: “My wife just hung out with her at a happy hour here in Hawaii Kai 12 days ago. She was full of life RIP.”
