‘DWTS’ Brooks Nader Reveals Why She Ended Up Pole Dancing
Dancing With The Stars has seen many different dance styles on the show since its premiere in 2005. But it’s not every day that someone has a pole in their routine. Brooks Nader ended up doing a bit of pole dancing on Hair Metal Night and dove into how that came to be.
Brooks Nader Dishes On Her Pole Dancing Moment During Hair Metal Night
Many viewers loved Brooks and Gleb’s routine on Hair Metal Night. But how did pole dancing end up in the mix?
“He’s just such an amazing person and human all around,” Brooks told PEOPLE about Gleb. “He really cares about people and he kept saying the whole time, ‘I just want to make you look really good and I want you to have the best experience with Dancing With The Stars.’”
“He was really focused on that the entire season, wanted to make me look hot, wanted to make me feel confident,” the model continued, noting that Gleb even arranged for her to have a pole dancing lesson before their Hair Metal Night performance.
“Just to make sure I felt great and he just cared,” Brooks said about the pole dancing class. “I feel like that’s rare these days and so I’m so appreciative to have had him as a partner. He’s an amazing guy.”
Brooks Loved Having The Chance To Perform On DWTS
No one wants to leave DWTS — especially when their entire family comes to watch. Sadly, that’s what happened to Brooks Nader on Dedication Night. Her three younger sisters joined her on the dance floor and their grandmother flew in to see them dance.
But even so, Brooks admits she’s grateful for the experience.

“I’m so honored that I made it as far as I did and I got to end it on such a high note with my sisters in the dance with me and my whole family was there,” the model continued, before adding she had “mixed feelings [about the elimination], but everything happens for a reason.”
In the end, Brooks felt like she won the competition after all because she experienced such tremendous growth.
Carrie Ann Inaba Thought The Model Had Potential
Although many DWTS viewers agreed Brooks Nader was dramatically improving, her relationship with Gleb hurt her chances of advancing in the competition. Even judge Carrie Ann Inaba admitted she didn’t think Brooks achieved her full potential in the ballroom.
“I don’t think Brooks reached her full potential as a dancer. But I do think she really improved,” the judge told Entertainment Weekly. “I noticed in her performance after her sisters cleared the floor, she tapped into something new. Not everyone gets to win the Mirrorball trophy, but they get to walk away with a magical experience. And I have to say that her and her sisters’ performance was something I’m sure they will remember fondly for a long time to come.”
