On Patrol: Live Fan-Favorite Department Makes Grand Return

Recently, On Patrol: Live announced that the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and Beech Grove Police Department would be departing. It was unclear why and for how long but the show did say they would be coming back at some point. Beech Grove was an OG department so saying goodbye to them was not easy. However, two new departments were coming in to bring the excitement.  Monroe Police Department in Louisiana and Butt’s County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia were taking over.

Fans were ready for Monroe as they had heard it was in a college town so they were excited to see the drama that would ensue. It started on Friday, October 18th and the big question from viewers was why the departments rotated so much. Hazen PD, which is very popular, has said they take breaks due to the size of their department. It’s very small and they do not have enough manpower to do the show and work. Plus, familial obligations and hunting are important so they are on and off. Now, a fan-favorite department is returning but who is it?

Yes, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office will be back beginning Friday, October 25th, 2024. They had taken a break back in July 2024 so now is the perfect time to return. Viewers may recall that Berkeley is one of the OG departments that has been with On Patrol: Live since 2022. They noted that people have been calling for them to come back and are grateful to be able to do so.

Happy To Have Them

The moment this news broke, On Patrol: Live fans were thrilled. They could not wait to celebrate this exciting announcement and shared their enthusiasm:

  • Well that’s a relief. I hate it when anyone leaves, period. They get to be fam and stuff, you know?!
  • So happy to see this. You all have been missed so much
  • So excited, made my Monday. Thank you!
  • YAY!!! I’m 1 happy Girl!!

So, it seems that this is good news all around, especially after the disappointment of losing two great departments. Bringing back Berkeley seems to be the best thing for the show plus it reminds fans that departments may go away but they do return.
