Golden Bachelorette alum Gary Levingston shared a huge accomplishment with fans. Keep reading to find out what he did that stunned Bachelor Nation alum Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.
Gary Levingston Reveals What Famous Godmother Would Think Of His Reality TV Days
Golden Bachelorette suitor Gary Levingston came out of the limo dancing. He enjoyed several sweet moments with Joan Vassos, including the prom date. However, she didn’t feel a strong connection with him and sent him home in Week 4.
The eliminated contestant chatted with Entertainment Weekly after his exit. He revealed that a friend encouraged him to apply for the show. The outlet asked what Gary thought his famous godmother would think of him being on reality TV.
Gary Levingston is the godson of iconic singer and performer Tina Turner. She sadly passed away in 2023 but he said she’s watching on him from above.
“I think she would’ve laughed. I think she would’ve been very happy, and I think she would’ve been very proud of what I’ve shown the world. But I think she would’ve laughed initially like, “You’ve got to be kidding. Are you really going to do that?” But I think she would’ve supported me 110 percent and said, “Have fun along the way.” I know she’s looking down from Heaven saying, “Job well done. Job well done.””
Golden Bachelorette Alum Shares Huge Accomplishment
Gary Levingston was a guest on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast earlier this week. He answered rapid fire questions from host Joe Amabile. The retired finance executive revealed that he considers his two children his greatest accomplishment.
But climbing the highest mountain in the contiguous United States was a close second. He spilled the details to a stunned Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt. The 14,505 feet Mount Whitney is located in California and is considered extremely difficult to climb.

Gary’s trek up the mountain started at 3 in the morning and he made it to the peak around noon. He said that he only briefly stayed on the mountain before starting his descent. The Golden Bachelorette contestant admitted that he had bad vertigo for a week following the adventure.
He chalked the illness up to elevation sickness from coming down the mountain too fast. The guys he climbed up with stayed on the mountain longer and didn’t suffer any side effects.
Gary Levingston described his experience on The Golden Bachelorette as sensational. But fans think his adventurous spirit is also pretty sensational.
