The American actress Tia Mowry is turning heads with her new reality, Tia Mowry: My Next Act. The celebrity is no stranger to the reality TV show world, as she starred in one with her twin sister, Tamera. The two did a lot of acting together, including Sister, Sister, and Twitches. In both cases, they played separated twins.

With the recent divorce from her husband, Cory Hardrict, Tia has been struggling quite a lot. Furthermore, with two kids, it can be difficult for her to hide her feelings from them when she feels so alone. In a recent interview, she discussed her lack of closeness with her twin, Tamera.

Wishing they were “still close,” in her series, Tia expressed her desire to “pick up the phone and call her, but that’s just not where we are right now.” However, Tia believed fans took this the wrong way and disclosed to Us Weekly that she wasn’t seeing her sister due to the “physical distance” between them, not an emotional one.

Moreover, she remarked, “You could hear it from me, and this is basically what I was insinuating: I feel like as we grow up, we all start our own families, and their children need to lean on them. We begin to take on new roles and responsibilities within our lives. That is what that was all about.

Then, she added, “In these transitions in life, sometimes you just want a hug, and you just want someone to be as accessible as they used to be, and that is not the case. It’s called life. I love my sister very much. She loves me very much. We have a closeness and a beautiful connection. But that’s what that was all about. It’s just how life unfolds, and it happens with many families.”

Jerome Is Tia’s ‘Anchor Slash Therapist’

On Friday, October 18th, Tia Mowry began discussing her “protector” and cousin Jerome on her show. She was missing a lot of her family, but she specifically pointed at him.

The Twitches star revealed, “Jerome is my cousin, but not only is he family, he is like my best friend. I consider him someone I can vent to without judgment. He is like my anchor slash therapist.” Then, she called him, and he didn’t even think twice before deciding to see her.

In addition, Tia revealed, “It means everything to me that Jerome can drop everything and just come right by my side. I am really needing family right now. So I talked to Jerome, and he is coming. Jerome has always been my protector, and he is my safety net. He knows me so well.”

Fans got to see the duo’s emotional connection once they were together. Moreover, Mowry discussed their closeness as well as her connection to Jerome’s mother. The actress explained,  “I was so close to Jerome’s mother because she was like another mother to me. Just like Jerome, whenever I needed family or whenever I needed someone, she would get on a plane and come.”
