Cher Dazzles At 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Famous singer Cher headlined as the musical guest at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City. Notably, she helped the show come back with a bang after a six-year hiatus. The brand also made sure to give fans who missed the show to get another chance to enjoy it.
The Singer Sparkled In An All-Black Ensemble
The singer appeared wearing all black, sporting sparkling cargo pants, a corseted top, and black boots. During the show, she performed her various hits, including “Strong Enough” and “Believe.”
On their official Instagram account, Victoria’s Secret promoted the singer’s performance with a video showing clips of Cher’s music video, “Believe.” As the caption wrote, “It’s a woman’s world, so it’s understood that you can’t have a fashion show without the mother of fashion herself—@Cher!”
The brand later followed this up with a clip of Cher performing at the show. The caption also promoted the show being posted online, encouraging those who missed it to watch it. As it read, “Can anything top @Cher and these iconic runway stars? We don’t think so. Missed the return of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? Watch it now (and as many times as you’d like) on our YouTube.”

As noted by People, other performers included K-pop singer Lisa and South African popiano performer Tyla. This was notably the first time the show was led by all-woman performers.
2024 Marked The Fashion Show’s Comeback After Six Years
Many notable figures also served as models during the event. Such celebrities walking the runway included Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham, and Barbara Palvin.
There was a special reason the fashion show wanted to go all out this year. The 2024 show marks the return of the event since it was canceled back in 2019. At the time, the show was criticized for its lack of inclusivity, causing the show to undergo a revamp.
These changes were noted by executive producer Janie Schaffer on the show’s livestream. As she shared, “It just spans the spectrum, and everybody’s welcome. We cast everybody for their confidence and their fierceness, and I think that’s what’s going to shine through.” It was noted that the 2024 event was also the first “shoppable” show. Viewers were encouraged to purchase items they saw in the show.
Over the years, the event has had a variety of notable musical guests. Such performers include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Katy Perry.
