Blake Shelton Gifts School Kids ‘The Coolest Thing In The World’
Blake Shelton recently visited Ada High School and their music program. Additionally, Shelton gifted the students “the coolest thing in the world.”
Blake Shelton Has Had A Good Career
Blake Shelton is an American singer, songwriter, and TV personality. As a country star, he dominated the genre from the first time he entered it as the song “Austin” from his first album took over the charts. The song was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for five weeks.
In addition, Shelton is well known for being a coach on a hit singing competition show, The Voice. Bringing tons of humor to the show, he left to spend more time with his family. The country star is married to singer and songwriter Gwen Stefani. Additionally, she has three sons who became Shelton’s stepkids when he married Stefani in 2021.
However, he can’t be spending too much time with Stefani as she is a current coach on Season 26 of The Voice, so perhaps his focus lies more with his stepsons. The star expressed that he got a new perspective on life with his new children, and he needed to step away from the show to use his life and time correctly.
Furthermore, he reportedly planned to leave earlier, but COVID-19 messed with that plan. The TV personality also wanted to focus on his music career, and it was time for a change. Now, he can use his time doing what’s most important to him.
Country Star Comes “Home”
Blake Shelton reveals that he attended Ada High School, where he visited and gifted “the coolest thing in the world.” The celebrity allegedly graduated in 1994. His reveal on the stage shocked the students in attendance. The country singer then spoke to the kids about his inspiration.
Furthermore, Shelton remarked, “My inspiration probably was just here, driving back roads and growing up hunting and fishing every day.” In addition, he shared how the people in the area, like friends and family, had a huge impact on his music. Also, the songwriter noted the impact of music on life as it can be both a job and a usage of free time.
In addition, the star expressed, “Someday when you’re older, coming home from work, you’re gonna love the idea of walking into your house and grabbing an acoustic guitar and sitting around… It’s the coolest thing in the world. It really is.”
Reportedly, the former Voice coach made a large donation to the music program last Tuesday, October 8th. Moreover, Shelton worked with Music Will to make this donation. Music Will is the biggest nonprofit music program for public schools in the United States.
Music Will and Shelton gifted the students with the band program’s new instruments. Thus prompting Richard Howard, Band Director, to be super grateful to Shelton. Howard also hopes for the presence of the star to have an impact on his students.
Moreover, the band director expressed, “Hopefully, the kids will realize, looking at Blake, he was a student just like them not that long ago, and if you work at it, things can happen.”
