Jason Kelce recently attempted to take a picture with his fans at an Eagles Tailgate. Then, things went in a completely different direction, shocking the footballer.

Jason Kelce Helped His Eagles Team Fly

Jason Kelce was an American football center. The retiree played for the Philadelphia Eagles from the National Football League during his 13 years in the sport. Before landing an official NFL job, Kelce played in college for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Finally, he was chosen by the Eagles in the 2011 NFL draft during the sixth round.

The former footballer is also the brother of Travis Kelce. Travis is a football-tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Already garnering much attention for his career as a multi-SuperBowl champ, Travis further had a spotlight shed on him as the boyfriend of famous pop star Taylor Swift. Now, he and his team share a bigger spotlight. Jason Kelce has previously discussed his brother’s relationship and the respect he has for Taylor.

Furthermore, the 36-year-old, who announced his retirement from football on March 4th, 2024, married Internet personality Kylie Kelce in 2018. Jason is a girl dad with three young daughters. Their first daughter was born in 2019, Wyatt Elizabeth. Then, they had Elliotte “Ellie” Ray. Finally, in 2023, Kylie gave birth to their youngest, Bennett “Bennie” Llewellyn.

Jason Kelce Might Have Just Had His Weirdest Fan Interaction

On Sunday, October 13th, Jason Kelce attended the tailgate before the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns game. Football fans can get crazy. However, Kelce did not expect what a fan would do in front of him.

A woman and her boyfriend came up to the former Eagles center to take a picture. However, before the woman could truly pose with Kelce, her boyfriend did something completely unexpected that shocked Kelce.

Furthermore, the boyfriend got on one knee with a small box. Kelce stepped away, while looking completely surprised, to give the couple their moment. Thankfully for the boyfriend, the woman said yes, and the crowd cheered. Additionally, the crowd began saying the Eagles chant.

The New Heights podcast, which was hosted by Jason and Travis, shared a video to X on the proposal. The caption, which presumably was written by Travis, read, “Jason didn’t see this one coming. Congrats to the happy couple!”

Even though Jason might have attended many Eagles tailgates before, the shock on his face makes it clear that he has never experienced anything like that before there. He likely feels honored, but it’s a bit weird to be a part of someone’s proposal.
