Few music groups in history have been as influential and iconic as The Beatles. They were one of the first bands from England to make their way to the United States. When the group first arrived, they played sold-out shows around the country. Considering there were no streaming services available at the time, the fact that the group got as popular as they were is amazing to think about. There are numerous stories from the band’s first trip to America that haven’t been told…. yet. That’s all going to change in the near future, though. This is what fans should know about the new Beatles documentary.

A New Beatles Documentary Is Coming To Disney+

Beatles fans need to get their popcorn ready, as legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese is set to produce the newest documentary surrounding the group. The production will be released on November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving. There isn’t a better time to release a documentary for home streaming, since plenty of folks will want to relax after a busy day before.

It’s also incredibly smart to release the documentary through Disney+. There are countless streaming services out there, but one that most people have is Disney+. This is in large part because of the bundle that the streaming app comes with, along with ESPN+ and Hulu. There are so many new stories that will finally be told to the public during this documentary, but what else can fans expect in what viewers hope is Scorsese’s latest masterpiece?

What Fans Can Expect In The Beatles Documentary

Disney+ recently posted an update on X (formerly known as Twitter), hyping fans up with the announcement of the show. There’s going to be plenty of never-before-seen footage in this new documentary, as fans get to watch the Beatles meteoric rise in fame and popularity among American crowds. In a statement released by Disney+ via People, a spokesperson commented on the new show with:

Beatles ’64 presents the spectacle, but also tells a more intimate behind the scenes story, capturing the camaraderie of John, Paul, George, and Ringo as they experienced unimaginable fame.”

The idea that there’s still unseen Beatles footage fans haven’t ever laid eyes on is somewhat unimaginable. Fans on social media chirped in with their excitement surrounding the newest Beatles documentary by saying:

  • “Excited to see this one!!”
  • “OMG!!!!! WE WILL BE STREAMING!”
  • “‘Can’t wait for *Beatles ’64*! Reliving the moment The Beatles took America by storm is going to be incredible. With Martin Scorsese and David Tedeschi behind it, this documentary is sure to capture the magic of that era. Streaming on #DisneyPlus November 29—definitely marking the date!'”
