Tia Clarifies Where She Stands With Tamera

Tia Mowry recently spoke about her relationship with her twin, Tamera Mowry-Housley. According to Tia, they’ve drifted to focusing on their personal families. She implied that Tamera has put their bond on the back burner to tend to her household.

“Her husband needs her,” she shared. “So she’s just not as accessible as the way it used to be. So I’m comparing it to what it used to be.”

She also made it clear that there wasn’t any bad blood between the two of them. In fact, Mowry revealed that she and Tamera had just spoken on the phone. However, the two haven’t been pictured together in a long time, let alone worked together.

The Comment That Started It All

This update comes after a now-viral clip from Tia Mowry: My Next Act. There was a scene where Tia Mowry admitted that she and Tamera weren’t as close as they used to be.

It caused a bit of backlash against Tamera, the criticism coming from fans who blamed her for their relationship strain.

People argued that because Tia is currently going through a divorce, her sister should have exercised every effort to be close to her during this difficult time in her life.

After all of the buzz online, a source claimed that the word “close” Tia used didn’t have to do with their personal bond. Rather, it was about them no longer being in close proximity to one another. Tamera lives in Napa while Tia currently resides in Los Angeles, so they live six hours away from each other. This is the farthest they’ve been apart in their entire lives.

Tia hasn’t personally clarified if she was talking about their physical distance and not emotional separation.
