Scooter Braun’s Thoughts On The ‘Bad Blood’ Taylor Swift Series
In June 2024, an entire docuseries highlighting the feud between Scooter Braun and Taylor Swift was released. Anyone who was confused about the drama between the pop singer and music producer got a lot of questions answered when watching episodes of the limited series on Max. It turns out that Scooter was hesitant to sit down and watch the docuseries for himself when it first premiered. Now, it’s been revealed that he finally took the time to watch it in its entirety. Here’s what he had to say about Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood.
Scooter Braun Admits He Watched Bad Blood Docuseries
Being painted as a villain in the eyes of the public would feel uncomfortable for just about anyone. Unfortunately for Scooter, that’s exactly what happened when he went head-to-head against one of the most legendary musicians of this generation. Scooter’s toxic feud with Taylor was enough to make headlines for months. Ultimately, it led Taylor down the path of re-recording all her biggest songs.
It was her way of clapping back against Scooter for buying her recordings in a sale worth $300 million in 2019. Scooter then sold her masters without telling her in 2020. The docuseries gets into the nitty-gritty about all these details. At first, Scooter didn’t want to be faced with the gravity of it all. According to People, he said:
“I wasn’t going to watch it because I just thought it was going to be, like, another hit piece. I pretty much stayed quiet about this kind of stuff. And my dad called me and my mom, and they were like, we just watched it. We think you should watch it. So I did.”
Scooter went to say that many of the details were “misrepresented, ” but he insisted he hopes people are willing to move on since years have passed since the drama first started brewing. Scooter discussed his long-lasting dispute with Taylor saying:
“I think that it’s important in any kind of conflict that people actually communicate directly with each other. I think doing it out on social media and in front of the whole world is not the place. And I think when people actually take the time to stand in front of each other have a conversation, they usually find out the monster’s not real, and that hasn’t happened.”
So, where do Scooter and Taylor stand with each other now? Although Scooter seems ready to leave their problematic history as water under the bridge, it’s unlikely a friendship will develop between Scooter and Taylor anytime soon. Taylor is still in the process of re-recording songs that she refers to as “Taylor’s Version” as we speak. What are your thoughts on the drama between Taylor and Scooter?
