Emily Maynard Johnson Had Fans Concerned About Ricki
Bachelorette Emily Maynard Johnson had fans worried that something bad had happened to her oldest daughter Ricki. The concern began when Emily posted on Instagram Stories about how much she misses her daughter.
She said, “Missing my girl so much it hurts my heart in a physical way. I love you all the way to heaven Kiki @rickihendrickk.” She posted this with a selfie of her and Ricki.
However, fans took what she said completely wrong and began wondering if there had been a tragedy. Many believed Ricki had died.
Within hours fans had flooded Emily with messages asking if Ricki was okay. The former Bachelorette went back to Instagram Stories to clear up all the confusion. She said, “Ricki is alive and well at college. Sorry for any confusion!”
She also shared a screenshot of messages between her and her daughter about the situation.
Ricki was not too thrilled that everyone thought she was dead based on her mom’s social media post. She texted her mom and said, “WHAT?!!?? PEOPLE THOUGHT I WAS DEAD BC U NEVER POST ABOUT ME.” Emily did reply to her eldest daughter saying she said she missed her.
She Decided To Make It All About Ricki
Along with the photo of the text exchange between her and Ricki, Emily Maynard Johnson said, “GUYS GET READY BC FROM THIS DAY FORWARD IT IS ALLL RICKI. ALLL DAY.”
In the text exchange, Ricki reminded her mom that she never posts photos of her. Emily replied back that Ricki is always threatening to report her to Instagram. Ricki continued to joke around and said that she was the forgotten child. She also said nobody knows she’s at college because her mom didn’t share the news.
Emily responded saying it was too hard and it would cause a “downward spiral” and she would end up in the fetal position.
Ricki got over it fairly fast and even reposted the selfie her mom had shared and said she missed her mom.
