‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Cast Talks Luna’s Potential Return

Recent events have driven Luna Nozawa, played by actress Lisa Yamada, away from The Bold and the Beautiful. In fact, some of Yamada’s cast-mates recently took the time to talk about the character’s recent storylines. They even discussed the possibility of the character making her return to the series.

Luna’s Character Has Recently Gone Down A Dark Road

On the series, Luna is the daughter of Poppy Nozawa and the late Tom Starr was assumed to be her father. The character as introduced as a college stdent ith an interest in fashion. The character has been an intern at Forrester Creations and Eric Forrester’s assistant fashion designer.

However, Luna would take a more villainous turn on the show, with the character even killing Tom and Paul “Hollis” Hollister, among other crimes. Exposed for her crimes, the character was taken to prison as her mother Poppy mourned all that had happened.

Of course, while prison might keep Luna off the show for a while, it’s not a death sentence, and characters have come back from worse on soap operas. In fact, a few of Yamada’s cast-mates on the show already suspect viewers will soon be seeing Luna again on the show.

Tom Also Works Behind-The-Scenes On The Show

Don Diamont and Heather Tom, who play Bill and Katie respectively, both appeared on the Michael Fairman Channel. While there, they started to discuss the recent events surrounding Luna on the show. Diamont felt the story was a good direction to take the character.

Diamont explained, “You know, up to that point in the story, she’d been pretty milquetoast, sweet, sweet, everything, puppies and sunshine.” He also praised Yamada’s acting, saying that, “I was so proud of her. She knocked it out of the park.”

For her part, Tom felt the story reflected the Luna character’s potential. As she put it, “Oh! This is who she is. This is a character we’ve got to keep around.” As noted by Soap Hub, Tom also revealed she also wrote and directed for the show.

When asked if Luna would return, Diamont responded, “I really enjoyed working with her, and I just think there’s story there, but that’s above our pay grade.” For her part, Tom thought the show was in need of a new villain. As she put it, “I will second that because I feel like also that energy is something that we could really use on the show right now..” She added, “Just send her to a psychiatric institution and then bring her back.”
