Tia Mowry Reveals Being A Late Bloomer For Losing Virginity

Tia Mowry reveals that she was a late bloomer for losing her virginity. The star also recalls who she lost her virginity to at this late age and why she took so long.

Tia Mowry is a famous actress who has been in multiple projects with her twin sister Tamera. Starting their careers when they were young, they have both had long and successful acting careers.

Best known for her roles in Family Reunion and Twitches, Tia is a mom of two to teenage Cree and young Cairo. Recently going through a divorce has been difficult for the actress, but she is not afraid to show her true emotions. Additionally, though she and Cory Hardict divorced, they agreed to remain friends and co-parent their children.

To showcase her reality and her motherhood, Mowry has made a new Reality TV show airing on WEtv, Tia Mowry: My Next Act. This isn’t her first time doing a reality show as she and her twin had one called, Tia & Tamera.

This is a new chapter in Mowry’s life as well as for her children as she focuses on not hiding her emotions. She even shared on the series how she wishes she was closer to her sister so hopefully, this opens a door for them to connect.

Mowry disclosed in her reality show premiere how her dating life was not exactly a teenage dream. She revealed that “I wasn’t even allowed to date until I was 18 years old. I met Cory when I turned 20 and I lost my virginity at 25. There, I said it! And then we got married! Boom!”

Furthermore, in a 2013 interview with Ebony, she further discussed their relationship. The Family Reunion star explained, “My husband and I, we were friends for a whole year before we decided to start dating. And even once we started dating, we waited. I lost my virginity at 25. So we even waited for a while to even get intimate.”

In addition, she stated, “This works for some people and it doesn’t work for some people and it’s OK. That’s what I mean by baggage. Know and learn and understand what baggage can you handle and what can you not handle.”

Also, Mowry told her friend Essence Atkins about the love story. She expressed, “You know I’ve never dated. Cory was my first … everything!” To this Atkins laughingly responded, “That’s right you haven’t.”

Moreover, when Tia Mowry’s truth was revealed to the world, fans took to social media to share their opinions. One fan took to X saying, “Cory waiting 5 years to sleep with Tia after they first met when she was 20, then he immediately married her after. That’s actually so sweet.”

Nevertheless, some people saw this as just something in the past as people can change. The social media user wrote, “Corey is a good guy they just grew apart.”
