Why ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Act’ Is Getting Dragged By Viewers
After rising to fame as a child star with her twin sister Tamera Mowry, actress Tia Mowry has now decided to go her own way with a reality TV show. Tia and Tamera starred in Sister Sister from 1994 until 1999 and the show was a total hit. As of now though, Tia and Tamera aren’t as close as they once were.
That’s just one topic Tia covers in her reality show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act. In comparison to that, Tia seemingly neglects to discuss details about her divorce from her ex-husband, Cory Hardrict altogether. They tied the knot in 2008 but decided to split in 2023. Here’s why some viewers are dragging Tia for her reality TV show.
Fans Aren’t Loving Tia Mowry’s Reality TV Show
Following the premiere of Tia Mowry: My Next Act on TV, fans have been sharing their opinions about the show on social media, according to The Sun. One thing a lot of people are bummed out about is that Tia hasn’t been very open about what went wrong between her and Cory.
One widespread belief about reality TV shows is that folks who agreed to star in them should be willing to share intimate details about whatever they’ve got going on in their lives for the show to succeed. Since Tia has been avoiding the topic of Cory, it’s leaving fans to wonder why Tia decided to do this reality TV show in the first place:
- “This episode was such a tease. They didn’t say the real reason why Tia and Cory divorced. #TiaMowryMyNextAct.”
- “I wish the best for Tia, but the new show is ridiculously unnecessary and messy.”
- “I’m watching #TiaMowry’s show. She’s been back peddling all week over the ‘me and my sister aren’t close’ comment so she is without a doubt going to crash out once clips from the show go viral. This was a bad idea.”
Whether fans are annoyed about the way Tia’s covering the drama with her sister or the way she’s been avoiding the subject of her divorce, fans seem a bit bothered by it all. Still, there are several fans who support Tia and her reality TV venture. These positive-thinking fans have also been vocal with their opinions on social media:
- “I like Tia Mowry’s new show. Definitely a different Tia than the Tia from the Sister Sister show all those years ago. But honestly, she’s helping me see that it’s not easy to just divorce and start over.”
- “Also watching Tia Mowry: My Next Act. I always liked her on TV, the transparency in this show is real and raw. Happy I recorded it.”
- “@TiaMowry’s show is so relatable. Being in a 12 year relationship with kids then breaking up and having to find yourself and find your way is hard but like she said “this too shall pass.”
