‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Blast ‘Unfair’ Bonus Puzzle
Most games show fans don’t want things to be too easy, but they at least want them to be fair. That includes Wheel of Fortune. While the fans want the puzzles to remain challenging for the players, they want the answers to be ones anyone can guess with the right letters. According to many fans, that didn’t happen this past week.
Here is what you need to know about a recent “unfair” puzzle on Wheel of Fortune.
Wheel OF Fortune Offers Strange Answer On Bonus Round
Last week on Wheel of Fortune, a bonus puzzle answer angered many fans. In the episode, a player named Derrick Balfour from Frederick, Maryland was in the bonus round. He guessed his letters and then stared at the board, unsure of the answer.
Derrick chose the letters “M, D, K, A.” Only the “K” and “A” were on the board. With the letters given the “Food and Drink” puzzle looked like this: “_AS_E_ / __LK.” After winning $13,200 in the cast and a trip to Las Vegas, he started at the board and only knew that the second word was “Milk” (via YouTube).
He guessed things like “Cheese mill” and “Geese milk,” but he couldn’t figure out the first word. When time ran out, Ryan Seacrest said, “Some of the great milks for protein, those milks.. Butm no. It’s Cashew Milk.” Ryan then showed Derrick he would have won $40,000 if he had gotten it right.
Fans Blast Wheel Of Fortune For Unfair Puzzle
Fans on social media were not happy about this puzzle. While most Wheel of Fortune fans don’t mind making things difficult, this puzzle was an answer that very few people would ever have gotten right. Cashew milk is something many fans might have never even heard of.
Here is a look at what some fans on social media said after this puzzle’s answer:
- “Wheel of Fortune is gonna do their best to make sure you don’t solve that last puzzle”
- “Who the hell is gonna think cashew, let alone call out a W I’m upset”
- “This puzzle?? It stinks. I never drink that milk. This was why I got stumped a bit. thought it was…. yolk? something. jeez c’mon man”
- “I’ve heard of almond milk but not cashew milk. If he would’ve called a “C” he would’ve got it”
This was just one of many complaints lately about Wheel of Fortune. As a matter of fact, enough people are complaining that Ryan Seacrest has reportedly sought out therapy to help deal with the negativity.

I don’t think cashew milk was a difficult puzzle. He just didn’t have the right letters.
People need to chill out.
And Ryan Seacrest is doing a FABULOUS job! Pat Sajak retired people. We loved him yes. But change happens. One day Vanna White will retire. I can just hear the complaints now. Just STOP and think before you hurt peoples feelings for goodness sakes.
Love you Ryan Seacrest! 😘
You took the words right from my fingers! People really need to get a grip.
