Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were discussing their upcoming move this week on Live with Kelly & Mark. The couple has been planning to make some big changes, and it is coming very soon for them. However, as they said on their morning talk show this week, there are two things they can’t leave behind once they make their big move.

Here is what Kelly and Mark believe they can’t live without after they make their big move this year.

Kelly Ripa Admits What She Can’t Leave Behind After Move

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have filmed their last days of Live with Kelly & Mark in their original studio. This was very emotional for Kelly. The show has been filmed in that studio for almost 40 years, and she has been with the show since 2001 (with Regis Philbin).

The good news for Kelly and Mark is that they joined in on the search for a new studio. They went out and toured locations and helped have a say in where the new location would be. This studio is on the Upper West Side, and they are moving downtown for the new studio.

The two then discussed what they planned to take when they moved to the new studio. Mark said there is a statue of a golden retriever dog named Sammy. Mark said he has had his eyes on that statue “since Day 1” (via PEOPLE). Kelly said that Sammy has been part of the Live studio set since 1997.

“This dog is the same age as our son Michael. And they both look really good for their age,” Kelly joked.

Kelly Ripa Is Bringing Something Different To New Studio

However, she had a different idea of what she wanted to bring to the new studio. Kelly received a Disney Legend honor, presenting her with a statue that she says will fit in well at their new headquarters.

“The reason I’m bringing this with me downtown is because that building is so like, sparkily and Disneyfied, I feel like this is on brand. I feel like it’s a good use,” Kelly said. “Also, I feel like in my house, it feels very showy and I don’t want to show off my accolades. Plus, I know one of my kids will pinch this. So it’s going in a safe place in a sparkling new studio.”

The last Live with Kelly & Mark episode aired on April 1 from the Upper West Side studio. Next week, the show will be in its new home. The new studio is at 7 Hudson Square, Disney’s new Manhattan New York headquarters. The 338-foot-tall structure has 1.2 million square feet for new offices, film and production studios, and ground-floor retail space.
