HGTV Star Jasmine Roth Almost Gives Birth On Side Of Road
HGTV fans know Jasmine Roth from the reality TV show Help! I Wrecked My House. However, what many fans might not know is that her second pregnancy ended in a terrifying moment for the reality TV star. According to Roth, she had her baby on the side of the road during a traffic jam.

Jasmine Roth Goes Into Labor On Wedding Anniversary
Jasmine Roth wrote a recent article and talked about her family. Roth then began to talk about her second pregnancy and how it didn’t go the say she envisioned. Jasmine said that she ended up delivering the baby on the side of the road when she went into labor a month early.
Jasmine wrote that it was her 11th wedding anniversary, and she was walking around Old Town Park City with her husband, where they previously got married. She had a 4 1/2 year old daughter and was pregnant with her second child. The baby was due a month from there and they were relaxing and spending quality time together on their anniversary.
However, that is when things went wrong.
“I felt a sharp contraction low in my belly. It was so strong, I gasped and had to sit down immediately. I breathed through it, and since it was still a month before our due date, I didn’t think much of it,” Jasmine said (via PEOPLE). “Then within 25 minutes, I was in so much pain that I was yelling for Brett to go get the car and that we needed to go to the hospital immediately.”
As they headed to the hospital, they realized it was too late.
Jasmine Roth Delivers Baby In A Traffic Jam
Jasmine Roth said she didn’t think she was having the baby early, but she knew something was wrong. She said they tried to hurry but didn’t go fast enough. They went home first, got their hospital bags, and headed toward the hospital.
“As we put the route in the navigation, what should have been a 25-minute drive through the canyon from Park City to the University of Utah Hospital was showing 55 minutes and the map was solid red,” she wrote.
She said there is rarely traffic like this in the mountains, but there wasn’t another route to the hospital. They tried to get there anyway and realized they needed to move onto the shoulder. They called 911 on the way to get help, and the operator told them to pull over.
“I was lying across the front seat of our truck — screaming — when my water broke and I felt immense pressure,” she said. Jasmine said she got out “stomping around in the grass” while “yelping, hollering, screaming.” The emergency vehicles quickly showed up, raced her to the hospital, and they helped deliver her baby. She delivered her daughter from the first contraction to the very last push in less than two hours.
Their daughter Darla Rose Roth was born weighing 4 lbs. 8 oz.
