Another ‘White Collar’ Star On Board For Reboot ‘Renaissance’
There has been a lot of talk about the White Collar reboot called Renaissance. Already Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Tiffani Thiessen have all agreed to come back. However, there are other characters from the series that have not said anything yet. That is, until now.
Who is also on board with the Jeff Eastin-created series?
Another White Collar Star On Board For Reboot
On Monday, TV Line reported that another White Collar alum is ready to join the revival series. That actor is Sharif Atkins who portrayed FBI Special Agent Clinton Jones. Moreover, he has some news. “I’ve talked to Jeff Eastin a bit here and there, and yeah, Jones is still in the world.” However, Atkins has not shared any further information on what Jones is doing these days. That may possibly be still in development. But, the actor has a lot of questions.
I’m curious about what’s Jones doing these days. What department is he heading? What team is he leading
Recalling the series experience as “a good time,” running for “six strong years,” it seems that Atkins is looking forward to more good times. “It’s really exciting. I’ve heard that the script is top-notch. It pays homage, beautifully to the late Willie Garson, and it just really picks back up where it left off in terms of the wit and the excitement, and the relationships. I’m looking forward to it myself.”
Just two years ago, Willie Garson died from cancer. He portrayed Neal Caffrey’s (Matt Bomer) best friend Mozzy. Bomer, McKay, who plays FBI Special Agent Peter Burke, and Thiessen, who plays Peter’s wife Elizabeth all have stated that the brilliant script pays homage to Garson. It has been clear that this was very important for the series to continue, for the cast and for the fans.
Where Has Sharif Atkins Been?
Where has Sharif Jones been since White Collar ended? The ER alum has been in a cornucopia of series, including a recurring role on NCIS: Hawaii. In addition, he is guest starring on Chicago Med on Wednesday, in the episode entitled “Bite Your Tongue.”
White Collar Renaissance Listed On Industry Site
In the most recent Production Weekly, the industry sites lists White Collar Renaissance. Hopefully, there will be an official announcement soon. In addition, there will hopefully be some information on whether Marsha Thomason will return. She portrayed Special Agent Diana Berrigan, whose tough, by-the-book personality was peppered with small details about her privileged life as a diplomat’s daughter. However, she had a very special connection to Mozzy.
The Manchester-born Thomason currently stars in the gritty BritBox series The Bay. Could this talented actress return for the reboot?
White Collar fans who do you want to see return for the reboot? The series is available to stream on Netflix.
