Although Anna Delvey put up strong walls during her Dancing With The Stars run, she might be more sensitive than viewers previously believed.

In a new statement, she detailed how horrible she felt DWTS treated her. The 33-year-old insists she wanted to do her best on the series, but was never given a proper chance by the judges or audience members.

Read on to see what she had to say.

Anna Delvey Lashes Out In Anger After Her DWTS Elimination

Ezra Sosa admitted on TikTok he found Anna Delvey crying in the bathroom during their premiere night performance. He claimed she saw the mean comments about her online and couldn’t hold it in any longer.

After seeing the TikTok, many DWTS fans felt sympathy for the con artist. However, she did little else to improve her onscreen demeanor. In fact, they found her exit incredibly disrespectful. But at the end of the day, it’s entirely possible this is a defense mechanism.

Now that the 33-year-old has parted ways with the show, she’s completely trashing the series and her experience. In a new interview, she accused Dancing With The Stars of using her solely for the purpose of ratings. Sadly, it seems like she’s having some mental struggles as a result.

“It was predatory of them to try [to] make me feel inadequate and stupid all while I did get progressively better yet they chose to disregard that,” Delvey told NBC.

“I’m trying to start a new chapter moving past mistakes I made and regret when I was much younger,” she continued. “Not sure when people will finally afford me that second chance and stop persecuting me so I have the opportunity to move on with my life.”

Julianne Hough Shows Sympathy To The Fraudster

At the end of Oscars Night, Anna Delvey told Julianne Hough that she took away absolutely nothing from her time on the show. Many viewers and cast members expressed distaste with her response, but Julianne laughed it off.

Now, she wants others to show kindness to Delvey.

“I’m always a big believer in grace and second chances and showing up,” the DWTS hostess told PEOPLE in a recent interview. “Also, it’s hard to go out first in the competition.”
