White Collar Cast Excited About Reboot

Although there were rumors of a White Collar reboot, it was in June that this hope was becoming a reality. According to Variety, Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Tiffani Thiessen were on a panel, along with the show’s creator It was there that Jeff Eastin had revealed that things were happening. “We’re gonna reboot. I’m writing the script.”

Besides that announcement, Matt Bomer made it clear that he was participating. “I’m in!” DeKay and Thiessen also confirmed their involvement.

DeKay also seemed to answer any possible objections. That is because he has seen the script. “It’s a fantastic script and it answers all the questions that one would have if you watch the show. And it would introduce the show to those who haven’t seen it as well. Both edges of the sword are honed.”

However, it seems probable that there will be a bigger audience thanks to streaming. That is because White Collar is currently enjoying a revival thanks to Netflix. This is similar to what occurred with Suits. Therefore, the timing could not be better. But, there is going to be one absence in the series.

Tim DeKay addressed that when he reassured viewers the new series honors Willie Garson, who portrayed Mozzie. Garson died in 2021 of cancer. “It honors Willie, too, in a profound way. With such sensitivity and such heart.”

DeKay added, “I told Jeff after I finished It, I literally was so excited, but at the same time had tears in my eyes–for good reason. You captured the suspense, the thrill, the characters, and the love in that reboot.”

Currently, there is no network attached to this series. However, many outlets believe it will wind up at Hulu.
