Travis Kelce Always Had 'Acting' On His Mind Claims Mom Donna

Just a day after Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs made it to 3-0 this NFL season, his mom, Donna Kelce hit the red carpet for the premiere of Grotesquerie. Mama Kelce, who also has son Jason Kelce, hit the red carpet in place of her son, who makes his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s latest FX show.

Travis Kelce Makes His Acting Debut In Grotesquerie

Grotesquerie tells the story of Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy Nash-Betts) as she investigates a series of crimes that seem “eerily personal as if someone, or something, is taunting her,” according to the official synopsis.

While Travis’s role in the show remains shrouded in mystery, his praise from co-stars and the series creator is not. Neicy said she thinks fans are going to “love” Travis in the role before adding he did such a “good job.”

Nicolas Chavez who plays Father Charlie chimed in as well, saying the New Heights podcast host a “star.” But perhaps the most came from the famed writer-producer himself, who revealed he wrote the role “specifically” for Travis before calling him “amazing,” “professional,” and the “kindest.”

Donna Kelce Was Not Surprised Travis Kelce Joined The Series

On the red carpet with the rest of the stars of Grotesquerie, Donna opened up about Travis’s scripted TV debut. “I think this is something he’s always had in the back of his mind,” she told People.

Of course, Donna was also asked about her son’s uber-famous girlfriend, Taylor Swift. While she said the relationship was still new to her, she believes they make a good couple because they are both kind and generous people.

A sentiment echoed by Ryan, who said the only thing he and Travis spoke about the Shake It Off singer was that she is supportive of his career. And, if he has an interest in the acting world he should try it out. Ryan, also dubbed Travis, “A star is a star is a star—and he’s a star.”
