Although Jane Da Silva is now a detective, working for her family’s foundation, she is happy to sing for a charitable event. The upcoming event is the Children’s Hospital Gala Fundraiser. Jane’s Aunt Sadie is also working on this fundraise. She is happy that her niece, the former cabaret singer is prepared to entertain.
However, in the midst of preparing for this big event, Jane needs to stop for a new person search. Margaret, it’s a reporter who needs help finding her missing colleague, Irene. Just days after Irene won a boatload of money on a popular game show, she went missing. Irene is not someone who would just disappear. But, there is no trace of Irene’s whereabouts. Can Jane help?
Thankfully, Detective John Carpenter is ready to help Jane solve this case. But, neither expected to find that there are “layers of deception involving fellow journalists and charity scams.” This is a well-organized criminal scam. Moreover, Jane is in grave danger as she works to uncover the truth. She cannot trust anyone.
