Amy Robach & TJ Holmes Pursue Podcast Careers
The former GMA3 co-anchors were fired from ABC News in January 2023. It was revealed that Amy Robach and TJ Holmes had been in a romantic relationship. At the time, they were both still married to their spouses, Andrew Shue (Amy Robach) and Marilee Fiebig (TJ Holmes), though they were reportedly separated. Both Amy and TJ finalized their divorces in 2023.
Now, nearly two years later, Amy and TJ partnering up for a new project. They are launching their very own weekday show called “Morning Run.” It is supposed to cover the latest daily news, entertainment, and lifestyle news.
As fans know, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes started their “Amy & T.J.” podcast in December 2023. TJ described the podcast as “We’re the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other.”
Amy chimed in, stating they’d “gone through a year of hell,” but emerged on top and were able to pursue new avenues. “Relationships are hard, they’re messy, they’re not perfect,” she said on episode one of the podcast. “We have fought for love, and I can say I have never been happier. I am with my best friend.”
Amy & TJ Launch New Project With iHeartRadio
Now, they have launched their newest project, “Morning Run.” It is supposed to air every weekday in the morning. The first episode was released on iHeartRadio on Monday, September 16. Each episode has been less than 20 minutes so far and covered topics like the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the latest news about Diddy, and the looming government shutdown.
They took to Instagram to officially announce the new project, which included a photo of them along with a press release.
In the caption, they wrote, “It’s official! Morning Run debuts today and will air Monday through Friday, bringing you daily news, entertainment and lifestyle headlines, keeping listeners informed and entertained every day of the workweek. Although they are setting out on this new adventure with “Morning Run,” they still intend to keep doing the “Amy & T.J.” podcast as well, airing two episodes last week.
On the September 16 episode of “Amy & T.J.,” they spoke to Jodie Sweetin from Full House about living in the spotlight.
“You know how — we know this — how some publications love to jump on any kind of, even seeming — like, like they almost make controversy where it doesn’t even exist,” Amy said in the episode.
TJ continued the thought, “Us ignoring and not responding cost us jobs, cost us careers. That stuff is so poisonous sometimes and it does — it can do more than just mess with your head. It can have real-world consequences.”
