‘The Curse Of Oak Island’ Season 12 Premiere Announced
The History Channel has announced a release date for upcoming episodes of The Curse of Oak Island. The series is about to enter its 12th season. However, fans already suspected there was still more to come from the show. Fans are also already guessing who from the “Fellowship of the Dig” will return in the upcoming season.
More Episodes Will Come Out In November
The reality series revolves around a group of treasure hunters run by a pair of brothers: Rick and Marty Lagina.
Collectively, this group of treasure hunters is known as the “Fellowship of the Dig.”
They all search for treasure on the titular Oak Island near Nova Scotia. The series makes use of various legends surrounding the area, collectively known as the “Oak Island mystery.”
The title refers to one such legend, alleging there is a curse claiming seven men will die before the treasure is unearthed.
With Season 11 ending in April, fans have been waiting a while to hear more from the show. However, producers have confirmed the new season will come out in November.
That said, fans were aware that more episodes were bound to come. After all, it was known the team was still working on the area, which was also closed off to the public.
The Curse of Oak Island will premiere its 12th season on November 12 on The History Channel.
The Show’s Facebook Page Also Released A Teaser
A trailer for the show’s upcoming season has already popped up online. However, the show’s own social media has also issued a teaser for fans.
The show’s official Facebook page also released a 30-second video captioned: “And, we’re back. #CurseOfOakIsland.”
Within the video, Rick Lagina can be heard saying, “The idea of buried treasure is captivating. If we find it, it will change history as we know it.” This is intercut with scenes of Rick and Marty using tools in the hopes of locating said treasure.
As noted by Monsters & Critics, many fan-favorite members of the Fellowship of the Dig are expected to return for the upcoming season.
Not only do both of the Lagina brothers appear in the Facebook video, the clip also features Billy Gerhardt and Terry Matheson.
Monsters & Critics previously interviewed Dr. Ian Spooner while working on the island, suggesting he will appear in the upcoming season.
Metal detectorist Gary Drayton, treasure hunter and producer Jack Begley historian Charles Barkhouse, surveyor Steve Guptill, and archaeologists Laird Niven and Emma Culligan are also expected to appear in the upcoming episodes.
Fans are also speculating just where the team will dig in the new episodes, including areas not seen in previous seasons.

I JUST CAN’T WAIT.BEEN THERE SINCE DAY 1
The History channel picked a great show and two great brothers to host the show! I have been a fan of the first season show 1 and we record all the shows! The history along with just the possibilities of who might have been on the island and what treasures are there wand where things have come from!
In the back of my mind I remember an early episode where some guy tells the Lagina’s that the treasure is buried on a very nearby island across the bay. I think he might have said that the two islands were probably connected by an underground water tunnel. The blob/ baby blob has concentrations of gold/silver in the water. Where did the water come from or flow to? Time will tell.
