Richard Goodall Ties The Knot With Fiance Angie Vanoven
On Wednesday, Richard Goodall took to Facebook to share some amazing news. He got married to his fiance, Angie Vanoven. The couple tied the knot days before the America’s Got Talent finale.
In the post, he wrote, “As of 3 p.m. pacific time Angie and I are now Richard and Angela VanGoodall!” Along with the post was a snapshot of the pair’s wedding rings. They both opted for matching, simple gold bands.
Fans were eager to show Richard Goodall and his new wife love in the comments. One fan wrote, “2024….. is definitely your year… congratulations Mr and Mrs Richard!!!!” A second person chimed in, “Congratulations to you both! What a memorable time for you!”
A second post showed him and Angie slicing into some cake together and enjoying the beautiful coast. Richard wrote, “An amazing night day and night last night married to my love with my agt family attending and we got the pleasure of eating in Malibu on the beach at moonshadows! So blessed and eternally grateful.”
Again, people flooded the comments with beautiful words for Richard and his wife. “What you are doing is making a mark on the world. It’s really special, and extra special because you are so genuine. Thank you!” one fan commented, referring to his AGT run. “Many, many beautiful days and years for you both. Congratulations!!!!” another person wrote.
AGT Judges Are Rooting For Richard To Win
“You are such an amazing man. You’re so humble, you’re so kind,” Heidi Klum told him. “I want you to win this so bad, Richard.”
“We all need a hero right now, and you are our hero,” Simon Cowell exclaimed. “I will make a prediction right now: I think you just sang yourself $1 million,” Howie Mandel concluded.
As AGT fans know, Richard Goodall is a custodian for Vigo County Schools. His performance of “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey went viral on TikTok. Former Journey frontman Steve Perry saw his school talent show performance and then it caught the attention of Howie Mandel.
“Howie, he posted me on his TikTok, and it said, ‘Needs to be on AGT,'” Richard revealed. Then, he got his big break when he earned the Golden Buzzer during his audition for the show from Heidi Klum.
This season’s winner will be revealed during Tuesday’s finale. The finalists will take the stage alongside some big names in entertainment. Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles will be there, along with Michael Buble and Gabriel Iglesias. Those are just a few of the stars slated to make an appearance.
America’s Got Talent Season 19 finale airs on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
