Mama June Gives Shocking Weight Loss Update
Mama June Shannon is giving a very shocking weight loss update since she embarked on her latest journey to health. She has taken weight loss medication, modified her diet, and begun working out. This is a big deal for her as she has long struggled and now she has a big update. So, what does she have to share with her followers? Keep reading for more details.
Mama June Gives Shocking Weight Loss Update
It was a hard battle for Mama June Shannon when it came to the weight so she underwent a drastic transformation. In 2015, she had gastric sleeve surgery as well as other accommodating procedures. This changed her entire body and launched her new series, From Not to Hot. Unfortunately, she got into substance abuse and it ended up destroying her. When she did become sober, there was a pandemic and food became somewhat of a drug. Therefore, June ended up gaining a lot of weight and it only got worse when her daughter, Anna Cardwell got sick.
They were ordering out a lot and June continued to gain weight. A few years prior, June did go to her doctor and asked about a weight loss surgery modification. He declined as he said it was not the right solution for her. First off, June had to start with a healthy diet and be mindful of what she put into her body. If she did not do that then the surgery would be a waste. Finally, after Anna passed, she decided to try weight loss medication. The first one was not right for her so tried another and has been doing her best since April 2024.

Now, in an Instagram update, five months after she began this journey, Mama June has a huge update. She started at 285 pounds and has since dropped 65 pounds. June is now 220 and looks amazing. Her face is glowing and she looks incredibly healthy. As she filmed her update, she was eating grilled salmon and corn though she had french fries. However, Kaitlyn was enjoying those.
