‘GH’ Lindsay Hartley Replacing Kelly Monaco

Lindsay Hartley is once again replacing Kelly Monaco as Samantha McCall on General Hospital. She has done this role in the past though fans may want all of the Kelly time they can get as she will be departing soon. So, when will Linday be in Port Charles, and for how long? GH Lindsay Hartley Replacing Kelly Monaco

Everyone who watches General Hospital was shocked when it was announced that Kelly Monaco had been let go from the hit soap opera. After over two decades as Sam McCall, starting Port Charles, it appears that she was blindsided by the firing. More so, it is speculated that her character will be killed off. This is despite the fact she was part of the welcoming home of Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). When GH’s 60th anniversary special ended, both Kelly and Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) exited doors to announce the return of Steve.

It was an epic and exhilarating moment but not six months later, it was announced Kelly would be gone. Now, she will be off the soap earlier than expected. Kelly will be replaced by Lindsay Hartley, according to Soap Hub. Her run will begin this week, starting September 16th. The reason for this is some episodes were filmed out of sequence. That is how soaps tend to shoot their shows so the ones in which Lindsay filled in for Kelly are now coming back around again. She filled in for Kelly Monaco when Molly and TJ’s unborn baby passed.

As for when Kelly’s last episodes will air, that is unknown. It is also unclear as to when she will fill those final scenes but the cast is not happy she is leaving. Fans are also angry with the show about what happened and want to know the real story about what went down behind the scenes. It is unclear if Kelly will stay until the end or if Lindsay Hartley will fill in occasionally to take the burden off of her. For now, viewers just want to know why Kelly was let go.

Fans Want Answers

Lindsay Hartley will have to suffice this week for Kelly Monaco. However, General Hospital viewers have slammed the latter’s social media with questions. They want to know when she will spill the tea about her exit and more:

• And as for you, Kelly, I despair about what GH did. You’re daytime royalty. I know this is a business and you are a famous person and we have zero connection. Yet I’m taking it kinda personal. Many hugs to you, Queen. Legend.
• I can’t wait to hear your story! You were going to tell us on Twitter, but they silenced you. Now you can speak freely.
• Miss seeing your face, hearing your voice and witnessing your acting chops Kelly! You’re freaking awesome and don’t ever let anyone tell you differently ❤️❤️
• Tell your truth, Kelly. It’s been plain as day for a very long time that whatever went down and continues to go down at that toxic place isn’t in any way shape or form okay.
