‘Survivor’ Alum Dating Jeff Probst’s Niece
Survivor 45 alum Austin Li Coon has revealed his new girlfriend. In a surprising turn of events, she just so happens to be Jeff Probst‘s niece Amanda. Austin Li Coon Hard Launches New Girlfriend
On Friday, Austin took to Instagram to hard launch his new beau. He shared a carousel of photos of himself and Jeff Probst’s niece Amanda.
In the caption, he wrote, “So this happened … just as shocked as you are. Instagram, meet Amanda! We met for the first time in Chicago last November.”
Several of the photos showed the Survivor alum and Amanda in different locations around the world. There were tropical islands in the background, forests, bars, and other fun photos in the mix.
“Wild to think that our casual meet-up to talk about Survivor would lead to 10 months of cross country flights to visit each other,” he continued in the caption. “But ya know when the vibes are this good you can’t just drop it. She’s amazing and has made this year the most fun I’ve ever had.”
Survivor Alums Show Love For Austin & Amanda
As fans remember, Austin was the runner-up on Survivor 45 and his new girlfriend’s uncle has been the host on the reality show since its premiere in 2000. When was all said and done, Austin lost to Dee Valladares. Dee and Austin had a bit of a showmance going on by the end of the game.
However, they ultimately decided not to pursue their relationship. After the 45th season wrapped, they needed some time to breathe.
“We kind of want to keep that a little private for now, just because things have been so crazy,” Austin said at the time. “The finale just aired and I don’t think I’m ready quite yet for dealing with all the fans and giving out the answers.”
“I know that this might be a surprise to some given how 45 ended, but the season finished filming last spring and everything since happened in a respectful way,” he revealed to followers. “Excited to start sharing more of what’s happening in my life! All love. ”
Other Survivor alums took to the comment section to offer their support for Austin’s new relationship.
“ITS HARD LAUNCH DAY !!!! IM SO THRILLED FOR YOU TWO game nights forever please,” Janani Jha commented. Julie “Mama J” Alley also chimed in, “I love this and I love you both! @aprobst2000 is the best! Mama J approved!”
Brandon Donlon, who was also part of Survivor 45, joked that Austin should “consider taking her last name.”
Amanda Probst took to Instagram to share Austin’s post on her Story with three heart emojis. She also posted a photo of her own, writing, “Hard launch af.”
