‘AGT’ Simon Cowell Gives Bad Advice To Ashes & Arrows?
When musical guests perform on America’s Got Talent, there might not be a better judge to listen to than Simon Cowell. He has helped mentor some great stars over the years. He has also mellowed out since his American Idol days, and his advice is usually spot on.
However, there are some thoughts that his advice to Ashes & Arrows might not have been the best advice. It could even have cost them the win this season. Here is what you need to know.
Simon Cowell Gives Advice To Ashes & Arrows
Ashes & Arrows is an interesting group on America’s Got Talent this season. They are a three-man band and they have chosen to sing original songs, which the fans have fallen in love with. However, after one of their performances, Cowell gave them some interesting advice.
They have been performing some heartfelt songs for the competition, and they have remained strong contenders. Simon told them they should perform something more “uptempo” in their next performance, but they also needed to listen to their fans.
Ashes & Arrows asked their followers to cast their votes and said they would take Simon’s advice on a more uptempo song. However, they struggled in the semifinals when they performed the song meant to get the fans up and singing along.
The judges seemed to like it, though. as Howie Mandel called it the “best act of the night,” and Simon agreed. Sofia Vergara said they looked and sounded great and Heidi Klum called it their best performance. However, there are some thoughts their past performances might have been better.
Who Is Left On America’s Got Talent?
While it was advice that the band took to heart, it didn’t really help them out. After the semifinals ended, Ashes & Arrows went home. They were eliminated, alongside Alex Sampson, Kelsey Jane, Pranysqa Mishra, Reid Wilson, and Young-Min.

Of the 10 finalists, the judges sent four of them, and the audience sent through the other six. Simon Cowell sent through Sebastián and Sonia. Howie Mandel advanced Airfootworks. Sofia Vergara voted to send Hakuna Matata Acrobatics. Finally, Heidi Klum used her golden buzzer on Dee Dee Simon.
The finals start next week on America’s Got Talent and it is almost time to learn who will win the title this year.
